Cooking Class: Learn Persian Culinary Secrets from a Chef
Taste the fresh flavors and spices of Persian cuisine in this cooking class led by Chef Karen. You'll learn how masterfully use aromatic spices to create Persian dishes with simple ingredients like fresh fruits, vegetables and grains.
To start, Chef Karen will show you how to craft mirza ghassemi, an eggplant dip flavored with a wonderfully aromatic balance of spices. Enjoy a main course of traditional Persian chicken stew bursting with sweet figs and apricots, then learn how to make herby kuku with a crispy golden crust. An upside-down orange turmeric cake makes for a unique, citrusy dessert to end the meal. This class will provide you with more than just restaurant-worthy recipes — expect to master plenty of valuable culinary skills as well!

Chef Karen was an incredible teacher. The class was inviting and I was encouraged to get out of my comfort zone with flavours, techniques, and foods. Would strongly recommend this class and Chef Karen as an instructor for all levels of home cooks.
