Cooking Class: Make Authentic Chicken Tinga Tacos With Chef Javier

Your taco night will get even more delicious after taking this immersive cooking class led by Chef Javier. 


Learn the recipe to make homemade chicken tinga tacos meant to delight the senses. Begin the class by making homemade corn tortillas. Mix masa harina, salt and water into a dough and learn the technique to roll it into tortillas and fry them until perfectly golden brown. Then, whip up a savory and spicy chipotle tomato sauce and mix in tender pulled chicken breast. Layer the meat on the tortillas and top with cotija cheese and lettuce for an authentic taco feast.

The chef was great, very nice, very informative, but would have loved to have a more hands on experience! Everyone having their own little set up to make the pasta, everyone getting a turn at the sauce etc. and being able to take some home would have been great!

My expierience has nothing to do with the chef .. I called to double check if it was a “hands on class” they said it was, IT WAS NOT. If I wanted to see someone cook I would down load a YouTube video and at least I would be doing it. Slow, boring and false advertising. Sitting behind a table to see someone else cook was not what I paid for, chef Javier on the other hand was good .. but it was not the experience I paid for ..
